We’re excited for Ikea‘s brand new kid’s furniture collection, Flisat which has been designed to grow with children between 3 and 12 years of age. The series is made of pine wood, a durable material that ages beautifully over time and perfect for creating a stylish Nordic look.
As Ikea explains, “Flisat breathes Swedish design tradition but also has a modern look thanks to the accent colours. New production methods make it possible to create sustainable children’s furniture that can be used year after year.
One example is the desktop that has adjustable legs in three heights. The house can turn into a handy wall shelf when the child no longer wants to play with dolls. Flisat tables and desks can be combined with TROFAST storage boxes that make it easier to keep track of small items such as pens and paper.”
The 8 new functional pieces include: an adjustable kid’s desk; a children’s table; children’s stools; a toy storage with wheels; a book display; a doll house/wall shelf, a wall storage and knob rack.
This new range will be available in stores from April. Words and images kindly taken from the fabulous Chalk Kids Blog.
