Midnight wakings can be a lonely thing. But I’ve found solace in this great blog A Selfish Mother..This is an honest blogzine for ‘brilliant women’ (yes we are!) who aim to rebrand motherhood ‘one post at a time’. And with great article titles like “10 ways new motherhood is like reliving your teens’ and ‘how to change the world and still be home intime for kids tea’ ..I’m hooked!
They have a huge network of writers so articles are always different and varied and you can even join their ‘Network’ and have a go at writing for them too. So there’s lots of parenting experience shared from around the world.
And when I’m slobbing around at home (most of the time) I’ve got my ‘motherhood’ sweat by Selfish Mother who launched a range of easy to wear clothes ‘to show solidarity for the global sistahood’ and their entire collection is made at a Fair Wear Foundation certified factory in Bangladesh (which means no unfair labour)
All profits* from sales of Mother designs go to Women for Women International – an amazing charity that helps women in 8 war-torn regions rebuild their lives through training programmes. More info here. *When we say ‘all profits’ this means £20 from the sale of each sweat going straight to help others!
Women for Women International say: “We really can’t thank you enough for choosing to supportWomen for Women International through this inspiring project, which is so in keeping with what we at WfWI believe about the importance of solidarity and the power of bringing women together.”
The sweatshirt is honestly so nice, I even slept in it! Bring on the midnight hours!
