Free facepainting at eenymeeny

I love the whole month of October. Nights drawing in, crisp cold days. In particular its Halloween season. I always thought it was a good time of year for my kids to face their demons (quite literally). As the nights get longer and darkness is more part of the day than the day itself, then they always get excited about actually becoming those witches, spiders, cats, ghosts and ghouls they used to be so fearful of!

In my house, we have always taken part in Halloween. Some years in a big way, some years a small way. We’ve had hectic parties with lots of kids dressed up, apple bobbing and hot cider (that was for the mums and dads!). And we’ve had years were we just kept it to a minimum, just a quick face paint and a crisp night time walk with the kids to see who else is out and about, too look at lit up pumpkins and of course, visit some spooked houses for sweets. Even the smallest effort seemed to be enough. Because, for the kids, it is about getting dressed up, being out late, being a bit chilly, feeling like you might be spooked any moment and of course coming back to a warm home with all that lovely sweet booty.

In Tufnell park, in particular, there are some great spooky houses to visit.

So this year we want to help make halloween extra special. Swing by the shop before or after your monster tea and we will make you look truly splendid for your Trick or Treating (and you don’t have to have something gruesome- a doggy is nice too!) Remember, the better you look the more sweets you’ll get!

We have a free face painting session at the shop on Wednesday 31st October from 3-6pm. Painting will be by the brilliant Kimberly from Slap-London who has over a decade of experience in working with children and an extensive knowledge of the beauty industry. She uses the best quality paints, but this event is only for children aged 3-10yrs.

Happy Halloweeeeeeennnn……….
